10TH GRADE:
In my 10th Grade Year, I'd like to call this section: The understanding of analytical criticism towards understanding art, animation, cinimatography, and literature. I mainly learned this ability in film studies at first. At the beginning of that class, I had a vague understanding of movies and what their worth was in terms of context and subject. It wasn't until that Mr. Ramsey decided to show introspectives in classic historical film features that I realized how difficult it was to create film and its processes. I didn't fully understand these films as their subjects until the film class got to World War 2 proproganda with cartoons, and then modern animated films afterwards. And so with my first example, I decided to do my paper review on Ratatouille. I chose this paper because it bases my first understandment of the introspective of a piece of film and how it works within the film perfectly. So then I praise the forward movement of 3d technology of lighting within the film as it helped expression and realism towards the movie. I also talked about how basically flawless the movie was for Pixar with the good message of the main character following their dream despite the norm and everything. The next example is my Grave of the Fireflies review. Despite only seeing half of the movie, I was entirely emotionally captivated by the story, characters, and impact. This film: An anti war film about the struggles of two Japanese citizens becoming casualties the middle of their neighborhood during World War 2. This was truly the first film that brought the whole idea of "anti-war" into mind. As the movie wasn't a big hit in the box office, it is still remembered today as one of the great animation films of all time. So in this review, I begin to understand anti-war messages in film and take acknowledgement that media of all sorts can enact some sort of emotional impact towards viewers.

11TH GRADE:
In my 11th Grade Year, I chose to use my experiences at my internship, at 801's Sessions' Spy Hop program, as an example of Application of Knowledge. Although an experience can be tangibly hard to to put as an example, I feel like my internship was entirely useful towards applying social interactions and the adaptation of work. .
Use an example from drivers ed, here.
12TH GRADE:
In my 12th Grade Year I have to say, other than my senior project, my ability to drive is probably one of the best examples for the purpose of Application of Knowledge. Although it is a class and the main tangible example I could have for this class is a License (which I have not finished the semester for), the only other validation I can have is my own car and registration for the car. This other example shows my process thoughts and struggles of writing a personal narrative right after a really personal and serious incident. For my personal narrative, I decided to write about a personal experience I had the month before, and that was being involved in a car accident. What was really hard is that I never had such a personal experience as close to death and explaining it was so difficult as it was still fresh in my mind. The end result of this paper ended up to be some sort of personal release as I held onto this personal issue by myself for too long. This paper really helped me get out of that scared and traumatized sense of mind as I finally had something to put all my feelings towards. It honestly was a therapeutic form of letting go some traumatic stress. Which is why this paper made me realize that writing really is an amazing form of self evaluation and therapy. This sense of therapeutic writing really released all the tensions of fear I had with the incident to let me be calm again and let those fears go. This application of personal writing helped me get over my issues by realizing them and thinking clearly about them.
